The Department of Emergency Situations of the Almaty region strongly advises tourists and vacationers to refrain from venturing onto snow-covered slopes due to the potential risk of triggering avalanches, as well as to adhere to all safety measures. In the Almaty region, there are 55 avalanche-prone areas located in the Enbekshikazakh, Talgar, and Karasai districts along the southern slope of the Ile-Alatau mountain range.
Previously, three roads leading to tourist attractions in the Talgar and Enbekshikazakh districts were closed until spring due to the threat of avalanches.
