The development of the world's first private space station, resembling a luxurious hotel, has been revealed by the American company Vast, according to The Sun .
The first commercial space station, Haven-1, is expected to be launched into low Earth orbit next year with the help of a SpaceX Falcon rocket. The first customers are planned to be sent aboard as early as 2026.
The stunning interior will allow space travelers to enjoy comfort, featuring a gym, a communal area, and entertainment rooms.
The station will have four separate rooms, each equipped with a built-in storage compartment, a vanity, and a personal set of amenities. Additionally, experts have designed a down-filled space blanket for comfortable rest in zero gravity.
The project is led by Hillary Koo, the design and marketing director at Vast, who previously spent five years heading the design department at SpaceX and held design positions at Starlink, Google, and Apple.
Travelers will be able to stay at the station for up to 30 days, though the cost of the stay is currently unknown.
