"Youth want to leave the country": An Almaty activist criticized the court's ruling on the grant case.

The court rejected the lawsuit of a university applicant who challenged the redistribution of government educational grants in favor of graduates from flood-affected regions. Public figure Kazbek Beisebaev described this decision as unjust, as it deprived other applicants of the opportunity for free education. He shared his views on Facebook, according to Orda.kz.
«Молодёжь стремится покинуть страну»: алматинский активист осудил решение суда по делу о грантах.

The essence of the problem was as follows. This year, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education allocated grants for applicants from regions affected by floods. As a result, other applicants from different regions who achieved the passing scores did not receive grants.

In simple terms, grants for graduates from the affected regions were taken from the overall pool of grants. Consequently, some benefited while others, on the contrary, suffered. The court deemed the ministry's decision correct. It could have ended there, but it didn't.

Who did the court deny? Those who graduated from high school this year and are taking their first steps into adulthood. Well, we adults are denied our claims regarding time zones. But these are children, our future… Will they believe in the authorities after all this? I doubt it.

And we still wonder why our youth wants to leave the country… Essentially, the authorities created a problem out of thin air. Of course, it was necessary to assist those affected by the floods, but why should this come at the expense of grants for others?

Let us remind you that Medina Maisar filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, contesting the redistribution of grants under the quota for emergency regions. The court denied her, noting that her rights were not violated and that the plaintiff's actions were considered an abuse of rights.
