Касым-Жомарт Токаев и Умару Сисоку Эмбало сделали совместное заявление.

As the head of our state emphasized, the official visit of Umaro Sissoco Embaló to Kazakhstan vividly illustrated that, despite geographical distance, our countries share common goals and aspirations.

"As a result of the bilateral negotiations, we reached significant agreements. This visit will contribute to further strengthening cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and other areas. Our countries are interested in maximizing the potential of the transport and logistics sector. We agreed to explore ways to connect the port of Bissau with the Trans-Caspian transport corridor in West Africa. This is particularly important now, as the geopolitical situation in the world and issues of food security are becoming increasingly serious," – stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

According to him, one of the main topics of the negotiations was partnership in agriculture. The parties noted that Kazakhstan has great potential for exporting grain crops to Guinea-Bissau.

"It is essential to fully utilize the potential of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, established at the initiative of our country. We also discussed cooperation in the mining industry and natural resource development. In particular, there are broad opportunities for joint work in the exploration and development of iron, phosphate, bauxite, and other rare earth mineral deposits," – said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Highlighting Kazakhstan's achievements in digitalization, cybersecurity, and financial technologies, the president suggested expanding contacts in the field of digital services.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited the delegation of Guinea-Bissau to participate in the International Forum Astana, which will take place next year.

"This will allow for a comprehensive understanding of Kazakhstan's economic and investment potential. Cultural and humanitarian ties play a significant role in bringing our peoples closer together. I invited young people from Guinea-Bissau to study at higher educational institutions in Kazakhstan. These measures will undoubtedly contribute to the activation of comprehensive cooperation between our countries," – noted the head of state.

Moreover, the parties exchanged views on the international situation. The President of Kazakhstan stated that the positions of the two countries coincide on many pressing issues.

"We are united by a common approach to maintaining global peace and regional stability. In today's geopolitical conditions, it is extremely important to provide mutual support and conduct consultations within the framework of the United Nations and the African Union. Overall, there is a wide range of opportunities to strengthen comprehensive relations. Today's significant agreements are a clear confirmation of this. I am convinced that Mr. Umaro Sissoco Embaló's visit will give new impetus to cooperation between Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau," – emphasized Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Umaro Sissoco Embaló highlighted the possibilities for strengthening cooperation in several sectors.

"Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau have the necessary mechanisms to activate interaction in areas such as natural resource exploration, education, and hydrocarbon exports. We are also interested in further deepening contacts within various international platforms and promoting our multifaceted relations," – said the President of Guinea-Bissau.
